While shopping at Publix I was in the snack food aisle looking for something to take with me in the car. There are a lot of different chips and pretzels. I’ve tried the Publix brand of tortilla chips and they were surprisingly good. So I picked up a bag of those and some salsa.
As I passed the section with nuts and raisins, a new line of trail mix caught my eye. Planters nuts has an assortment of trail mix bags with different nuts and seeds mixed. I bought a bag with “nuts, seeds and raisins,” which has sunflower kernels, raisins, cashews, peanuts, pumpkin kernels and almonds. The raisins add a nice touch of moisture and sweetness to this mix and I like it a lot.

Found a great new dress at Belk’s this afternoon, just in time for tomorrow’s wedding. It has a princess cut, which has always been my favorite on me, but was not really in fashion since I got out of school. But now it’s back and the fabrics are even better than they were back then, so the dress is even more flattering on women with my kind of figure.
The wedding is tomorrow at 2:00 in the afternoon, in a little chapel near the Opryland hotel. Then the reception is at the Opryland hotel, in one of their ballrooms. It is a small wedding, so I expect the reception to be over early – probably no later than 6:00 or 7:00. That give me the whole Saturday night with nothing to do. Let’s hope I meet someone interesting at the wedding and we find a reason to go downtown after the recpetion is over!

I have an unexpected day off from work and thought I’d go to the mall, do a little shopping and maybe catch a movie since there are so many new releases out. So I checked the movie schedule and would you believe that there is not a single showing scheduled for any of the movies that I want to see until after dinner?
All the afternoon movies are for kids. Now, I know this is summer vacation and a lot of moms can’t find anything to do with their little darlings other than take them to the mall, and evidently plunk them down in a movie theater all afternoon. But come on! Adults want to see movies in the afternoon, too, and to be honest I’d rather not sit in a theater surrounded by a hundred fidgeting and squirming kids that talk during the scenes and spill their drinks and popcorn.

Just got back from our family vacation and now I have time to start reading emails and calling people back, since I am not out in the woods where no signal could be picked up. I think my significant other planned our trip there just for that purpose, to tell you the truth, and that was fine. It was good to have some one-on-one time with the old man for a change.
I see there is a lot happening across the net. If there was something that I just had to see, leave it in the comments, please.
