There is no such thing as too much turkey in my house. We love turkey – hot with all the trimmings as well as cold in a sandwich.
My favorite way to fix a turkey sandwich is to place a few thin slices of a vidalia onion on my favorite bread and place two slices of alpine lace swiss cheese on top. Put in microwave for 15 seconds. Pile thinly sliced turkey on top, squirt a little Dukes Mayo on it and top with a second slice of bread. Put back in the microwave for 10 seconds and serve with a big pickle spear and fresh chips.

If you are celebrating an abundance of food and comforts, please consider the hundreds of thousands of people who are much less fortunate than you. This is a great time of year to not only be grateful for what you have, but to find a way to help someone else as well. Even if you only give $10 to the local homeless shelter, hospice or charity of your choice. Bless you for that.

One of the things I’ve been meaning to get started on is a gradual exercise routine. Something that I can do for about 20 or 30 minutes each day, preferably outdoors. I used to walk the dogs at a brisk walk when we lived across town, but since moving into this neighborhood, we cannot safely walk anywhere but our own yard. So there is not much briskness to that.
I was thinking that riding a bike would be something I could handle and it would be more interesting than just walking the neighborhood. There are some good deals on bicycles on the internet. I found a site that sells awesome beach cruisers in a variety of models. These are bikes that are great for level ground and ridden at a leisurely pace. I’m not the least bit interested in racing or dirt bikes. I love the idea of beach cruisers.
Modern bicycles are much more technology based than the beach bikes of my childhood. The materials used to make the frame and the tires are a whole new advanced breed than the last bike that I owned. I can’t wait to get a cruiser with the seat and handlebars just like I want them and head out into my neighborhood.

As a kid, my dad would take me around with him on weekends to look at open houses in all the new subdivisions being built around Washington. It was a fun way to spend a day with my dad. We would look at all the new innovations being introduced, like the front door intercomm system and motion sensor security lights.
I’ve always wanted to build my own house and I’ve been on the lookout for floor plans that would work for my needs. I have a particular design in mind from one of the model homes that I went through with my dad all those years ago. I can still remember how the house was laid out and how much I liked that floor plan. I would love to find that and get a price on building it here in Tennessee.

Walking around the house with my dog I didn’t notice a board on the ground and I stepped on it. Unfortunately, the board had a half dozen nail protruding and when I stepped on it, one of the nails came through my shoe and into my heel. It drew blood but did not go in very deep.
I cleaned up the puncture wound with peroxide and neosporin, and limped around most of the day. Then it occurred to me that it’s been a very long time since I had a tetanus shot, so I called me doctor and she said to come right inĀ and get a tetanus booster. Those vaccines only last about 10 years and you have to get the shot within a day of the injury to make sure you don’t end up with lockjaw.

When you suddenly need an attorney, that is not a good time to have to learn about the different kinds of attorneys. The legal field has been narrowed down over the years into some very distinct specialties. For the best legal representation, you need to search out the best lawyer in the right specialty field.
If you have been in an automobile accident, you need a personal injury attorney. These are people who specialize in fighting with insurance companies and medical people.
If you have a problem with divorce, child support or adoption issues, you need an attorney who specializes in domestic issues. These people know the legal system and the government agencies who work in related fields.
If you have been arrested and charged with a crime for anything like DUI or assault, you need a criminal attorney and you need the best one you can find.

My spades partner tonight was from Georgia and he had a funny saying on his profile:
You can put a cat in the oven, but that doesn’t make it a biscuit.

My desktop would not turn on this morning. Yes, if was plugged in. No we did not have an electrical storm or power surge. So I unscrewed the cover and took a look inside. After all, that’s what guys do when the car breaks down – open the hood and stare at it.
