Today the temps were in the 50′s and they are calling for the same tomorrow. Then it will start to rain Thursday and continue raining into Friday. So there won’t be white Christmas for us – just more rain and mud. That’s what we’ve had since August, so why would December be any different?

When someone in your household is allergic to chocolate, you tend to take a fresh look at candies and sweets. So many Christmas candies and treats are chocolate-based. We decided to fight that by building a gingerbread house this year for a family Christmas project.

We were inspired by a kit at Kroger, but I don’t think we need a kit to make one of these. I found a picture of what we want to do and we can use that for a guide.
