Cruising the Neighborhood
One of the things I’ve been meaning to get started on is a gradual exercise routine. Something that I can do for about 20 or 30 minutes each day, preferably outdoors. I used to walk the dogs at a brisk walk when we lived across town, but since moving into this neighborhood, we cannot safely walk anywhere but our own yard. So there is not much briskness to that.
I was thinking that riding a bike would be something I could handle and it would be more interesting than just walking the neighborhood. There are some good deals on bicycles on the internet. I found a site that sells awesome beach cruisers in a variety of models. These are bikes that are great for level ground and ridden at a leisurely pace. I’m not the least bit interested in racing or dirt bikes. I love the idea of beach cruisers.
Modern bicycles are much more technology based than the beach bikes of my childhood. The materials used to make the frame and the tires are a whole new advanced breed than the last bike that I owned. I can’t wait to get a cruiser with the seat and handlebars just like I want them and head out into my neighborhood.
