• Memorial Day Observance

I remember my first visit to the Iwa Jima statue in Washington, DC. It is on a little hill overlooking the Potomac River, with a paved area in front for the military color guards to present arms in their sombering ceremonies.

The Vietnam Memorial is another awe inspiring monument to the military in Washington and a beautiful tribute to the thousands of men and woen who have died while serving this great country of ours.

If you’ve never been to our Nation’s Capitol, you should make a point of point of doing so and including these two memorials on your visit. It’s your civic duty.

One Responseso far.

  1. Todd says:

I live right outside of the nations capitol and go every year and you are right everyone else should go and see it for themselves on that special day for the Nation.
