One of the things that I’ve noticed over the years is that there are a lot of people out in the world that will take credit for work that someone else has done. All of my life I’ve been taking the high road and turning the other cheek, thinking that these people will get their “come-uppance” and that everything works out for the best. And yet time after time I see these people being rewarded for work that they did not do, and the person that actually deserves the credit gets nothing at all. Nobody ever told me that life is not fair, but I have to admit that it is becoming more difficult as time goes on to just sit silent and let those people “get away” with taking the credit and being rewarded that does not belong to them. Many times these people get bonuses, or promotions, or inherit money based on their false claims.
Whenever I start to get aggravated over this un-fairness I find myself thinking about what churches teach us, and about being meek and mild and treating everyone with love and letting God handle the judgement and the justice. I start to think about how likely it is that unscrupulous people take advantage of that mind-set to rip-off other people, and I wonder just how long society will let that continue.
