Hummingbird Camp Retreat has a dedicated staff who will provide you with the information necessary to plan a successful retreat, rehearsal, meeting, group event, etc. Hummingbird wants to make your event planning a pleasant experience and your event a great success. How much does it cost to come to Hummingbird Camp Retreat?

Prices range from $20.00 to $40.00 per person per night and $10.00 per person for a day group.

What kinds of meeting spaces are there?

Hummingbird has small and large indoor and outdoor meeting spaces. The Beehive is a conference center all in one with a large meeting room downstairs and dorms upstairs. On warm weather days you can meet in the gazebo just outside the Beehive’s doors. There are two large performance shells on our campuses that can be used for concerts, plays, large meetings or lectures. The Library is a brightly decorated building that has several small meeting rooms and a porch on the back where private or small group lessons take place. Please come visit before your event so you can see Hummingbird Camp Retreat and imagine the possibilities.

What size group can I bring for an overnight retreat?

The minimum number of guests is 20, and Hummingbird can accommodate 200 as well.

Can I rent the retreat facilities exclusively?

Yes. Please call the camp to make arrangements.

Can I rent one cabin for the weekend?

No, our minimum number of guests is 20.

Can I bring my dog?

No, we have a NO PETS policy at Hummingbird.

Does Hummingbird Camp Retreat provide audio visual equipment?

No, you’ll need to bring your own or make arrangements with a company who can handle that for you.

Does the Camp provide tables and chairs?

Yes, and a piano if you need one.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes

Will my cell phone work?

Not for phone calls. We do have a phone in the office you may use, and we do have Wi-Fi.

Do you host weddings or family reunions?

No

Do you allow alcoholic beverages at Hummingbird?

No

Can guests Smoke on the property?

No

What activities do you offer to groups?

Hummingbird offers fishing, guided hikes, campfires, indoor and outdoor games and relaxation in a beautiful natural setting.

How far in advance can I make my retreat reservation?

2 years in advance.

Do you charge a deposit?

Yes, and we will refund your deposit if you cancel before we have ordered food for your group. We can waive the deposit fee if your are affiliated with a public school.

Will there be other groups on site while my group is there?

There may be, and we will make sure there is room and fun for all!

We are a non-profit group. Do we have to pay taxes?

We do not charge taxes to tax exempt groups.

What are the expectations at checkout?

Before you leave, meet with the camp director and get an agreed upon invoice for your group. You may pay before you leave with a check, credit card or purchase order. You may pay later as well. Please be sure that your group takes all of their belongings with them.

Does Hummingbird Camp Retreat carry insurance?

Yes, we charge everyone who comes on campus $2.00 per stay in order to access insurance.

What is the retreat reservation process?

Hummingbird Camp Retreat has an on-line booking process where you can begin the steps toward making  your retreat plans. Check our availability calendar and highlight the dates and space you desire. Submit the booking form and we will get back to you to confirm your reservation. Be ready with your details, so you can fill in our on-line registration form.
Hummingbird Camp Retreat will confirm your dates after we make sure there are no conflicts with other groups.
There is a $100.00 deposit required to confirm your booking.

How much do meals cost?

Breakfast is $7.00, lunch is $8.00 and dinner is $9.00 for our adult menu. We occasionally add a dollar for special requests or additions to meals.  Our children’s menu costs $6.00 for breakfast, $7.00 for lunch and $8.00 for dinner.

Can I see your menu?

Sure, call or e-mail the camp and we will send you one.

Can our group cook our own meals?

No, sit back, relax and we’ll do all the cooking and cleaning!

What are the snack options at Hummingbird Camp Retreat?

Hummingbird has a snack shop called Cavity Cave where you can buy sodas, candy bars, cookies, and nuts.  All items are $1.00 and we limit purchases to two items per person. We’ll be glad to put out a bowl of fruit for your group, and there are Hummingbird chocolate cookies available in the kitchen. Just ask one of our friendly cooks!

When are the meal times at Hummingbird?

We serve breakfast from 7am-9am. Lunch is from 11:30 until 1:00, and dinner is from 5:00 until 6:30, and we’ll ask when on the half hour you would like each meal to start.

Do you serve vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and nut free meals?

Yes, and we’ll make every effort to accommodate special diets.
