Dinner Talk About Custom Computers

My oldest brother, who is the computer whiz of the family, is the kind of guy that has to have the latest and best of every type of technology that he can get his hands on. He was always like that as a kid, something that we all thought and hoped that he would grow out of, but obviously he didn’t. Right now he looking at various types of custom computers, something that is just a wee bit over my head at this point, not that he is asking for my opinion or help with any of this. It’s just that during the family Thanksgiving dinner I will be sitting close to him and I like to be able to talk with about things that are going in with him in his life or else we will just sit there and look at each other. He isn’t much on talking unless it is something that he is into, not the type for dinner talk at all. Something that he never grew out of either.

Guess I take a look around online and find something out about these custom computers. He isn’t married, doesn’t have kids, has worked at the same place since his Junior year in high school. So there really isn’t a whole heck of a lot that we have in common other than family and that gets tiresome talking about all the time.

Decorating Almonds

There are artists who can look at an every day object and then find a creative way to decorate it. That is the kind of imagination that I truly envy. I have some artistic abilities, but they usually require some visual inspiration, such as a landscape or a still life grouping. Every once in a while I have a spurt of pure imagination and the painting or drawing comes from deep inside my brain.

JordanAlmondFavors

I found these cute decorated Jordan almonds that are used as a party favor of inexpensive holiday gift. This is the artistic talent that I don’t seem to have on my own, although now that I’ve seen this I can run with the idea. I can even go a step further and paste three of the white almonds together with marzipan and then make them into little snowmen. After all Christmas is really right around the corner and coming at us full speed ahead!!

Fuzzy socks

I have a pair of very comfy fuzzy footie socks that were given to me for Christmas. They are turquoise in color, and I love how silky they feel on my feet. I like to wear them to bed at night because they keep my feet nice and warm. Seems that I have cold feet all year long! So I often find myself wearing socks to bed, because if my feet are cold I can’t sleep at all. The funny thing about these little footie socks, though, is that when I take them off my feet are covered with turquoise fuzz! Even between my toes!

At first I thought that if the socks were laundered a few times they would stop shedding the fuzz on my feet. But I have laundered them at least a dozen times, and still I get fuzzy toes! I wonder if they will ever stop shedding!

Open heart jewelry

Whenever a commercial comes on the television for the open heart jewelry I find myself wishing that I had been the one to design it. Of course, even if I had designed it, I would still be a no-body because I would have had no wealthy backers to help me to get the product actually produced and marketed. I do like the jewelry very much, and I have put the white gold and diamond necklace on my Christmas wish list for the year that Santa is feeling extra generous!
